Our team at CVS Falkirk – along with our friends at Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE), and Clackmannanshire TSI (CTSI) – is thrilled to announce that booking is OPEN for the 2023 Forth Valley Third Sector Conference! The conference will take place over 2 days, with digital workshops on Wednesday 22nd March, and an in-person conference day on Thursday 23rd March, at the Dobbie Hall. Lunch will be provided, and refreshments available throughout the day. Tickets are £20 each.

Wellness in Winter 2023
Due to the ongoing cost of living crisis and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, including rising numbers of positive cases in Forth Valley, we have launched this year’s Wellness in Winter campaign.
CVS Falkirk Holiday Closure 2022
CVS Falkirk will close for the holidays next week, Friday 16th December 2022, and our team will return to work on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
Falkirk HSCP Carers Strategy Consultations
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is consulting for a new Carers Strategy, with new online surveys for carers and young carers. They want to hear from as many carers and young carers as possible, in order to include the challenges they face in the new strategy. The deadline for responses is Friday 23rd December.
Bainsford and Langlees CAP Launch Event
The Falkirk Community Planning Partnership (CPP) is holding a Bainsford and Langlees Community Action Plan Launch Event on Wednesday 7th December, 2:30pm – 7pm, at Bainsford Community Hall, Davids Loan, Bainsford, FK2 7JS. The event is drop-in, with no booking required, and tables set up round the hall for people to have their say on the Community Action Plan (CAP).
Falkirk East MSYP By-Election: Registrations Closing Soon
Young people aged 14 – 25 years old, living in the Falkirk East constituency area, are encouraged to register to stand for the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) by-election later this month. Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYP) act as a voice for their communities and young people. The deadline for registrations to stand for election is next Tuesday 6th December.
LinkLiving Moving on Up: Referrals Opening
LinkLiving will be taking on new referrals for the Moving on Up programme in January 2023. Moving on Up is two-tiered programme for young people aged 16 – 19 years old and living in Falkirk; the course includes groupwork and one to one support, and offers tailored support covering mental health and resilience as well as lifeskills.
Winter in Falkirk: Ways to Give
Once again, our festive Falkirk residents have come together to fill their local communities with Christmas cheer! The people and third sector of Forth Valley have truly gone above and beyond to ensure those who are struggling still have something special to look forward to during the pressure of the season and the cost of living crisis.
Winter in Falkirk: Warm Spaces
A number of local groups and organisations from across Falkirk’s different sectors are offering warm spaces and refreshments this winter, including: Stenhousemuir FC’s Warriors in the Community, Bo’ness Riverview Church, The Canal Inn, and Asda. Strathcarron Hospice’s Compassionate Communities team is also compiling a database of community warm spaces.

Santa visits have been organised for local communities by third sector groups, including Falkirk, Larbert, Stenhousemuir and Kinnaird, and Camelon, Lethan Airth.
