Skills Delivery Independent Review: Call for Evidence
Scottish Government is keen for third sector providers to contribute to an independent review into the skills delivery landscape in Scotland, including the skills functions of Scotland’s national public bodies, via an online Call for Evidence. The Call for Evidence is currently live, until Friday 23rd December.
Learning Bites: Final 2022 Sessions
Volunteer Scotland’s final Interactive Learning Bites of 2022 will take place: Developing Volunteer Roles, Tuesday 29th November; Developing Volunteer Strategy, Thursday 8th December; Volunteers Mental Wellbeing, Thursday 15th December.
Fair Work in the Third Sector Survey: Deadline Extended
The Scottish Centre for Employment Research (University of Strathclyde) has been commissioned to undertake research mapping the extent of fair work in Scotland’s third and voluntary sector, and identifying the opportunities and challenges for employers in delivering fair work. They have launched an online survey to gather responses. The new deadline for responses is Monday 9th January 2023.
Cyrenians SCCD National Survey: Last Chance
This weekend is your LAST CHANCE to get involved with Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution (SCCR) national survey for the people it supports and works with. The results of these surveys will allow the SCCR to continue to meet the needs of its audiences across Scotland by helping them to shape their resources, events, seminars and online support. The deadline for responses to all surveys is Monday 28th November.
New Falkirk IJB Third Sector and Carers Representatives
Following last Friday’s meeting, and targeted recruitment by CVS Falkirk and Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre, Falkirk’s Integration Joint Board (IJB) has formally appointed Ian Dickson (CEO of Falkirk’s Mental Health Association (FDAMH)) as third sector representative, and Carol Ann Harrower as carers representative.
Youth and Philanthropy Initiative Networking Session
The Wood Foundation (TWF) invites charities who have worked with young people through the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) to a networking session on Tuesday 29th November, 4pm – 6pm at The Merchants House of Glasgow, 7 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BA.
Alcohol Brief Intervention Training
NHS Forth Valley’s Health Promotion Service is holding Alcohol Brief Intervention (ABI) training on Tuesday 6th December, 9:30am – 12:30pm, via Teams. The training is open to anyone who works in the Forth Valley area, and aims to equip people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to initiate a conversation about alcohol, and to deliver alcohol brief interventions.
Webinar: “Cut Your Energy Costs and Run Green Energy-Efficient Premises”
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is running a FREE Zoom webinar on Wednesday 7th December, 5:30pm – 7:40pm, in partnership with the Ethical Property Foundation: “Cut Your Energy Costs and Run Green Energy-Efficient Premises”. The webinar has been designed to help third sector and community groups, and their senior teams, understand the principles of cost and energy efficient maintenance management.
Islamophobia Awareness Month Falkirk Event
CSREC, in partnership with the Rainbow Muslim Women Group, are planning a FREE interactive event to promote a culture of understanding and respect to mark Islamophobia Awareness Month. The event takes place on Saturday 3rd December, 10:30am – 12:30pm, at CSREC’s unit in the Howgate Shopping Centre, High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1HG. Everyone is welcome.
