Organisation Support

Consulting, engaging, supporting, developing and representing communities.

CVS Falkirk offers assistance and support to communities, groups, voluntary organisations, social enterprises, co-operatives, trusts, CICs and other third sector groups locally.

From pre-start up advice, through growth and dissolution, we have advisors and training programmes to guide you.

Services include (but are not limited to):

  • Community consultation and Engagement
  • Quality (EFQM)
  • Start-up information
  • Drop-in events
  • Committee/board skills
  • Legal structures and constitutions
  • Complaints and governance
  • Grant funding and fund raising
  • Policies and procedures

In addition to the above, CVS Falkirk runs a comprehensive training programme with courses from 2 hours to a full day. A course can be dedicated to your organisation, or participants can join a scheduled course.

We also host courses run by specialists in topics such as:

  • Tax for charities
  • Environmental and sustainability issues
  • Work place well-being
  • Leadership & management
  • Trading
  • Business/project plans
  • Tendering and procurement
  • Performance monitoring

Organisation Health Check

Getting into the habit of regularly reviewing the health of your organisation will help you to spot problem areas quickly, identify strengths and weaknesses, and encourage you to develop, implement and embed a continuous review process.  Our health check questionnaire is aimed at assisting your organisation get into good shape and be more effective, as well as recognise areas requiring support and prioritising.
