Canine Partners is a registered charity working to transform the lives of people with physical disabilities by partnering them with assistance dogs and other highly trained dogs. The assistance dogs bring a greater independence and quality of life to their partners, offering support, security, companionship, and practical help with everyday household tasks. These dogs also provide psychological and social benefits including increased independence, confidence, social interaction and self-esteem.
The events are open to everyone, including people who are curious about assistance dogs, interested in volunteering with Canine Partners, or exploring other ways to support the organisation. They aim to provide a friendly, warm introduction to who Canine Partners are, what the organisation does, and the difference people’s support can make.
