Useful Information
We are delighted to share our brand new online CVS Falkirk Grant Funding Portal (GFP).
Our portal is designed to make accessing the grant funds we manage quicker, easier and more streamlined. The GFP is a totally FREE bespoke digital solution developed with the benefit of CVS Falkirk’s extensive experience of delivering funding support and the needs of Falkirk’s third sector in mind.
The GFP has been funded through considerable investment from ourselves, and support from our third sector partner Forth Environment Link, and Scottish Government’s Digital Boost Development Grant.
For further information, please view the full web article.
Alternatively, to register for FREE, visit the GFP itself.
This online portal is powered by Grantsonline, the UK’s most comprehensive and up to date UK grant funding information service, and available through the CVS Falkirk website.
Once registered (linked for your convenience), users will be able to search for a range of different funding opportunities, across local and national organisations.
The Grantsonline portal is one of the key tools we at CVS Falkirk use in supporting our local sector to find funding.
To register, or for further information, please visit the registration page.
Funding Scotland is a service provided by the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) to provide access to up to date, high-quality information on funding opportunities for third sector organisations in Scotland.
Funding Scotland is free to any organisation in Scotland, and provides a search of over 1,300 funding opportunities including grants, loans, prizes and other support. (SCVO membership organisations can access additional features, via the free Premium service.)
For further information, please visit the Funding Scotland website.
As Scotland’s community foundation, Foundation Scotland works to ensure communities thrive, are resourced to match their vision, and powered by transformative funding.
Some of their managed funds are available on a Scotland-wide basis, and others are aimed at specific geographical areas or themes, with a number focused on Falkirk.
Grant size and criteria information is available on each fund’s page, together with any unique criteria. Every fund lists a deadline for applications; there may be more than one round of funding each year. When searching, be sure to note all the key dates in the fund listing.
The application process is simple, with most funds able to be applied for online. The most important thing is to read the criteria carefully and submit the correct documents before the deadline.
For further information, including funds available in Falkirk, please visit the Foundation Scotland website.
Falkirk Council has various funding opportunities available to support local groups and organisations, including:
; don’t forget CVS Falkirk and District can offer you assistance if you are struggling with the application process.

It can be helpful to understand the financial landscape when considering funding opportunities.
Each year, Scottish Government publishes a balanced Budget which sets out the spending plans for the new financial year. The annual Scottish Budget covers each financial year, which runs from 1st April until 31st March, with annual spending amounting to over £50 billion.
The Scottish Budget for 2023-24 has been set at £59.7 billion; a detailed breakdown of spending plans is available. This Budget seeks to balance the immediate pressures of Scotland’s continued recovery from the pandemic, along with supporting Scottish Government’s 3 strategic priorities:
- to eradicate child poverty
- to enable the economy to transition to Net Zero
- to create sustainable public services that support the needs of people in Scotland
The Budget is available in full to view or download (as a pdf) via the Scottish Government website. Alternatively, a Budget Guide is also available.
