The National Records of Scotland (NRS) is donating up to 400 Chromebooks (and some of the mobile phones) to third, voluntary and charitable organisations across Scotland, to further benefit their work in this sector. NRS would like as many organisations to benefit from these as possible. Groups and organisations must be providing supporting services to people in Scotland. The deadline for bids is 3pm this coming Monday 28th November.

CVS Falkirk 2022 AGM: THANK YOU!
Our team at CVS Falkirk would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who joined us yesterday at our 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at St Francis Xavier’s Church Hall. It was so good to see everyone in-person – our members, our partners and colleague from across Falkirk’s third sector.
Falkirk Funders Fayre 2023
After two successful virtual events, we’re delighted to announce that our popular and FREE Falkirk Funders Fayre returns for its first in-person event since 2020! Taking place on Tuesday 7th March 2023, the event is designed to give third sector, charity and voluntary organisations and social enterprises the opportunity to meet with a range of diverse funders and to learn about the various grant funding schemes that are available.

NHS Forth Valley Community Grants Scheme Closing
NHS Forth Valley’s Community Grants Scheme will close to new applications in December. Grants of up to £500 are available until then to support local activities reducing health inequalities and improving mental health. NHS Forth Valley will stop processing applications in mid-late December.
Carers Challenge Fund
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has launched a new £500,000 fund for community groups, third sector organisations, and statutory organisations supporting carers in the Falkirk area. The Carers Challenge Fund offers grants of up to £35,000 to support projects which help people who provide care for a family member or loved one. The deadline for applications is Friday 23rd December.
Household Hardship Fund
The Household Hardship Fund, administered by Corra Foundation, will open to applications on Tuesday 22nd November. The fund will provide grants £500 – £5,000 to local groups, who will pass the money on in cash or vouchers directly to local families and individuals in need. Those interested in applying are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as decisions will be made as applications are received.
Survey on Community Responses to Overseas Emergencies
Scotland’s International Development Alliance is working to put a system in place in Scotland which will enhance the way voluntary humanitarian groups are supported to do their work, and has created an online survey to gather people’s views. The deadline for responses is Friday 25th November.
Carers Rights Day 2022 Free Sessions
Carers Rights Day takes place on Thursday 24th November, with a focus on Caring Costs. To mark this, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre is hosting an in-person coffee morning, 10am – 12pm at the Carers Centre, 1A Bank Street, Falkirk, FK1 1NB. In the evening, the Carers Centre is also hosting a Carers Voice session for parent carers, via Microsoft Teams.
