Baby Steps 20+ is seeking Volunteer Project Assistants. Volunteers will assist staff with disabilities in their day-to-day work, keep the shop tidy, serve customers, and stock shelves, for around 6 hours per week. Applicants must be aged 18 years old and over, and have a PVG.

Meadowbank Car 4U Volunteer Drivers
Meadowbank Car 4U provides a free transport service for cancer patients who are registered with the 3 medical groups at Meadowbank Health Centre in Polmont. They are currently looking for volunteer drivers. Patients travel to hospitals across Central Scotland for their treatments, including in Glasgow, Airdrie, Edinburgh, and Larbert. Drivers use their own cars. Expenses can be reimbursed at 45p per mile.
National Recovery Olympics Event Marshal Volunteers
Recovery Scotland need Event Marshal volunteers for Forth Valley Recovery Community’s National Recovery Olympics on Friday 1st July, taking place 9am – 6pm at Forthbank Stadium, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK7 7UJ. Volunteers will be assisting parking, marshalling races, helping at the bouncy castle, score taking, and more.

Let’s Move Together Fund: Deadline Extended
The deadline for Versus Arthritis’ Let’s Move Together Fund has been extended to 4pm on Sunday 31st July. The fund supports organisations who work to create opportunities for people with long-term health conditions to stay active in their local communities. Grants between £1,000 and £5,000 are available. Funding should be spent within 6 months of being awarded.
Action Earth Grants: Open for 2022 Applications
Volunteering Matters’ Action Earth grants are now open for 2022 applications. There are 150 grants of up to £250 available, with a focus on helping restore and protect green spaces. Grants can be used by volunteers and groups to purchase plants, tools and materials to improve or enhance local green spaces and wildlife habitats across Scotland. There is no application deadline, but awards are made on a first-come basis.
Investing in Communities Round 2 Now Open
The Investing in Communities (ICF) Fund Round 2 is now open to applications. The programme is a 3 year fund delivered Saturday 1st April 2023 – Tuesday 31st March 2026, providing grants totalling up to £350,000 over the funding period. The online portal will close to new applications at 2pm on Tuesday 28th June.
Your Police 2022-23 Local Policing Survey Opened
Police Scotland has launched its new online Your Police 2022-23 Local Policing Survey, which has been designed to be a vital tool in Police Scotland’s efforts to listen and understand community feedback about the service. They are keen to hear from as many people as possible, as responses will be used to shape policing services going forward. The deadline for responses is Friday 31st March 2023.
VHS Survey on COVID-19 Vaccine Inclusion and Partnership Working
Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) is conducting research on the extent to which the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Scotland sought to reduce inequalities and foster collaboration with the third sector. They have launched an online survey to gather views, which should take around 15 minutes to complete. The deadline for responses is next Friday 17th June.
Housing Rights Service for Italian-Speaking Community
The Citizens Rights Project (CRP) has launched their new housing rights service for the Italian-speaking community in Scotland. The service adds to their Rights Centre services on housing, welfare and employment and the EUSS support CRP provides in other languages, and offers free online help and advice on housing and homelessness issues in Italian.
