Police Scotland has launched its new online Your Police 2022-23 Local Policing Survey, which has been designed to be a vital tool in Police Scotland’s efforts to listen and understand community feedback about the service.
They are keen to hear from as many of Scotland’s diverse communities as possible, as responses will be used to shape policing services going forward. The survey has been created to help Police Scotland design and develop services which respond to local needs, and address residents’ concerns.
Police Scotland is keen to ensure that Your Police 2022-23 is able to help them deliver vital services, by focusing efforts on reaching those from underrepresented groups, “those who are often seldom-heard or marginalised in society”. This is a key priority of both Police Scotland and their Public Confidence Governance Board. Feedback and engagement from the survey will also be used to develop the Local Police Plans for 2023 – 26.
While the survey is open for almost a whole year, updates, feedback and insight from the public are analysed regularly, with an update provided to the Senior Leadership Board each month, and weekly at the Chief Constable’s Operational Review Meeting when requested. Relevant data for local policing teams is also shared via Divisional Commanders. This is part of an effort to ensure that everyone in Scotland’s diverse communities is heard, with their feedback listened to and acted on in meaningful ways.
The deadline for responses is Friday 31st March 2023.
