dates-n-mates Club Night Presents Zandernation
dates-n-mates Falkirk is holding their first Club Night at Temple Night Club at 1 Burnbank Road, Bainsford, FK2 7PE, on Friday 19th August, 7pm – 11pm, with guest DJ Zandernation. This is an inclusive event and open to non-members, though strictly for those 18 years old and over. ID will be required on entry; tickets are £10 – £14.
SFRS Draft Strategic Plan 2022-25 Consultation
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has launched an online public consultation for people to share their views on the service’s draft Strategic Plan 2022-25. SFRS’ Strategic Plan details the activities they want to achieve, in order to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of Scottish communities, whilst keeping firefighters safe. The deadline for responses is Sunday 10th July.
Free RVS Intro to Crochet Event
Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) Forth Valley’s “First Time for Everything” Project is holding a free Intro to Crochet event on Monday 4th July, 1pm – 3:30pm at Coorie Creative Makers Ltd, Marches Mall, Thistles Shopping Centre, Goosecroft Road, Stirling, FK8 2EA.
FREE Office Furniture Available for the Third Sector
Falkirk Council is renovating their office space at the Falkirk Stadium, and have offered some office furniture to local third sector groups and organisations. OVO Energy in Cumbernauld is also making a large selection of office furniture and equipment available to the third sector.
CSREC Mental Health and Wellbeing Project Activities
The Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) is offering a regular programme of free activities to people from ethnic minority communities, who are experiencing reduced mental wellbeing, in the Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and Stirlingshire areas.
“Managing and Preventing Harmful Sexual Behaviour” Training Course
NHS Forth Valley, Clackmannanshire Council, and Stirling Council have organised “Managing and Preventing Harmful Sexual Behaviour in young people” training, taking place via Teams on Tuesday 14th June, 10am – 12pm, and Wednesday 21st September, 10am – 12pm. This course is open to professionals across Forth Valley, working with and supporting young people of school age with regards to harmful sexual behaviour.
Ukraine Super Sponsor Scheme: Guidance for Hosts
Scottish Government has issued guidance for those hosting people and families fleeing Ukraine. This is primarily at hosts using Scotland’s Super Sponsor scheme, but it also sets out the expectations and requirements of hosting a displaced person from Ukraine in Scotland for individual/private sponsors under the Homes for Ukraine Scheme.
