Charity Fayre: A Great Success
On Saturday 29 November, CVS Falkirk in partnership with Falkirk Trinity Church held its annual Charity Fayre in Falkirk Trinity Church and it was a great success. We brought together 40 of our local and national charities, to provide an opportunity for them to sell a range of products for Christmas while also raising their profile and highlighting the services and support they provide.
Community Care and Health Forum Meeting Dates for 2015
The CCHF has confirmed their Forum meetings will take place on the following dates at Falkirk Fire Station, Westfield, Falkirk, FK2 9AH from 10am-1pm, a buffet lunch is available from 12.30pm.
Counselling Skills Course at FDAMH
A COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills Course will commence in February 2015 at FDAMH’s Victoria Centre in Central Falkirk.
Blood Borne Virus Training
The aim of the training will be to provide an overview of BBV’s. The training is free to all who work across Forth Valley Health Board area including voluntary statutory organisations.
Forth Valley Sensory Centre Winter Fayre
Forth Valley Sensory Centre are holding their annual Winter Fayre where there will be stalls with homemade crafts and baking, handbags, accessories, jewellery and skincare. As well as the usual tombola and raffle stalls.
Children visiting Santa in his sensory grotto will receive a small gift and some reindeer dust, they can also pop in to get their face painted!
Human Rights Event
Central Scotland Regional Equality Council (CSREC) and the Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) are holding an event which will take place in the run-up to International Human Rights Day and the first anniversary of the launch of Scotland’s National Action Plan for Human Rights.

Just Enterprise Sales Training
This full day introductory workshop is free for members/staff of third sector organisations and is aimed at Social Enterprises and Enterprising Third Sector organisations that are developing new markets, or are trying to sell products and services into existing markets. It is ideal for those responsible for generating income on a day-to-day basis. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of selling, from preparation to questioning styles, objection handling, and how to develop a consultative approach to sales.
Scotland’s Legacy 2014
Not-for-profit organisations in Scotland have until 1st February 2015 to apply for funding to support building or upgrading local sport and recreation facilities to encourage people in Scotland to be more active around the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
