“Supporting Information for Disability Benefits” Online Event for Third Sector
Social Security Scotland is holding an online event for third sector groups and organisations: “Supporting Information for Disability Benefits” on Saturday 23rd April, 10:30am – 12pm. The event is designed for third sector groups and organisations who may be asked by Social Security Scotland, on behalf of a client, to provide Supporting Information when the client is applying for a disability benefit.
“Managing and Preventing HSB in Young People” Training Dates
NHS Forth Valley is holding online “Managing and Preventing Harmful Sexual Behaviour in Young People” training for professionals working with and supporting school-aged young people (including those from third sector groups and organisations). The training takes place via Teams on Wednesday 19th April, 3:30pm – 5pm, and Wednesday 20th September, 3:30pm – 5pm.

Scottish Government is holding interactive engagement workshops across Scotland, in person and online, on firework control zones. The next online workshops take place on Friday 31st March, via Teams.
“My Family My Rights” Skill Sessions
Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD) is running “My Family My Rights” for the second year. The campaign’s skill sessions are designed to help people learn and develop skills to increase their understanding of their family’s rights. The first information session takes place on Zoom, on Wednesday 29th March from 6pm.

The Wood Foundation is hosting a webinar specifically designed to give third sector groups and organisations across Scotland an overview of their Youth and Philanthropy Initiative Scotland (YPI). The webinar takes place on Wednesday 29th March, 4pm – 4:40pm, and is open to those who engage with young people, providing an overview of YPI.

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is hosting a FREE Digital Loft webinar on Tuesday 28th March, 2pm – 3:30pm. The webinar will highlight the significant financial and reputational impact cybercrime can have on small organisations and business owners, and will also set out how the NCSC, with its suite of tools, guidance and advice, can offer support.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT), in partnership with property advice charity the Ethical Property Foundation, has published a FREE property webinar for voluntary and third sector groups and organisations in Scotland. “Create & Manage A Successful Property Budget for your Voluntary Organisation” is available to view at any time. This year’s conference takes place over 2 days next week, Wednesday 22nd March and Thursday 23rd March, with Wednesday’s event entirely on Zoom, and Thursday’s taking place in-person at the new venue of Inglewood House.
