Venue Update: Forth Valley Third Sector Conference 2023
Due to unforeseen circumstances, our team – along with our colleagues at Clackmannanshire TSI and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise – have had to change the venue of our upcoming Forth Valley Third Sector Conference. The in-person day will still take place on Thursday 23rd March, now at Inglewood House, Tullibody Road, Alloa, FK10 2HU.

It meant so much to back in person with you all at one of our favourite venues, celebrating 9 years of the Funders Fayre, and being able to provide the opportunity for our sector to meet with 22 funders and support organisations.
Cost of Living Crisis – the Impact on Falkirk & District’s Third Sector
CVS Falkirk is today launching a new “Cost of Living: Impact on Falkirk’s Third Sector” survey. Whilst the national picture is relevant and useful in helping us to identify priorities and trends, to truly understand how Falkirk’s third sector, and subsequently the communities and people of Falkirk District, are being impacted, we have launched this survey.

Falkirk Suicide Prevention Fund 2023
Applications are now open for the Falkirk Suicide Prevention Fund 2023 (previously known as the “Choose Life” fund), for initiatives launching new services or expanding existing provisions. Grants of up to £25,000 are available, to be used in a single year, or for one-off costs. There is currently no application deadline, but those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Under the Trees Outdoor Education Assistant Volunteers
Under The Trees CIC currently looking for Outdoor Education Assistant volunteers, which involves helping staff to deliver play, school, weekend events and birthday parties. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to develop new outdoor learning and Play Ranger skills.
Community Ownership Fund Open for Applications
The Community Ownership Fund is open for its next application window.
The £150 million fund is designed to help communities across the UK to take ownership of local assets at risk of closure. So far, the Community Ownership Fund has awarded £2 million to 10 projects in Scotland. The deadline for applications is 11:59am on Friday 14th April.
Refugee Festival Scotland Small Grants Fund
Through the Refugee Festival Scotland Small Grants Fund, community groups and organisations can apply for up to £500 to take part in June’s annual Refugee Festival Scotland and organise local events in their area, with the funding designed to cover the cost of running these events. The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on Sunday 5th March.
Care Home Staffing Method Framework Survey
The Care Inspectorate is looking for people’s opinions on introducing a staffing method framework in care homes for adults, through their Safe Staffing Programme. During 2022, the Care Inspectorate tested a prototype staffing method with some services, and are now conducting an online survey to hear from as many people as possible.
