The Young Trustee Movement is delivering a free one hour online workshop designed to help organisations equipped to champion diversity on boards. Taking place on Thursday 21 August 2025, 12pm – 1pm, the workshop aims to help participants be able to develop a framework regarding board diversity.
Volunteer Opportunities: Denny Stroke Club
Denny Stroke Club is a volunteer-run, user-led community organisation. The Club provides peer support to stroke survivors, their friends and families, allowing space to meet and socialise with people who understand what they are going through. Forte Charitable Foundation Small Grants Programme
The Forte Charitable Foundation’s Small Grants Programme offers financial support to UK-based charitable and not for profit organisations across the UK, which are working to address the challenges faced by local communities. Grants range from £2,000 – £10,000. Funding is available for core and revenue costs, with the Foundation prioritising frontline organisations working directly with individuals in need. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadlines.
Corra Foundation Boost Fund Supporting Families and Children
The Corra Foundation has announced its latest funding opportunity, the Boost Fund.
The Boost Fund is for small community-led organisations across Scotland who are supporting local people affected by poverty or disadvantage. Grants of £500 – £3,000 are available for constituted groups and charities with an annual income of £50,000 or less. Unconstituted groups can apply for grants of £250 – £1,500.
Falkirk Council Tenants Choice Fund
Falkirk Council’s Housing team has launched its new Tenants Choice Fund, where constituted groups can apply for up to £5,000 for projects benefiting Falkirk Council tenants and the communities they live in. It is designed to give tenants a say in how their rent can be used for small projects in their community. Tenants Choice will have a total fund in 2025/6 of £35,000.

Scottish Mental Health First Aid Training in October
Staff and volunteers living or working in the Falkirk District are invited to attend a 2 day Scottish Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) course on Tuesday 7 October and Tuesday 14 October 2025, 9:30am – 4:30pm. The in-person training is aimed at those who want to help someone with mental health problems, whether in a professional or personal capacity. It focuses on early intervention and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to provide initial help before professional support is available.
