Volunteers’ Week 2026 Resources Available
Volunteers’ Week is in full swing, and there is still time to recognise your volunteers and thank them for all their efforts before the 2026 celebrations conclude on Sunday. The official website has lots of ideas on how to show your appreciation, including organising a coffee morning, or taking to social media to share thank you messages, spotlights or videos showcasing the impact your volunteers have (for example!). There is also a range of resources available to help.
Volunteer Scotland Duty to Refer Process Learning Byte Video
Volunteer Scotland has published its latest learning resource, the Duty to Refer Process Learning Byte video. If a group or organisation has volunteers or staff in a regulated role, there is an important legal responsibility which must be taken seriously. They must report harmful behaviour to Disclosure Scotland; this is known as the Duty to Refer.
VON Online Volunteer Network Peer Support Session
The Volunteer Organisers Network (VON) is hosting its next online Volunteer Network Peer Support Session, focusing on remote volunteering, on Thursday 23 July 2026, 11am – 12pm. This peer support session will focus on the pros, cons and good practice around remote volunteering.
