Falkirk Older People’s Network: December 2026

December 3 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Falkirk Older People’s Network provides a space to come together, learn from shared experiences, and share resources. The Network is open to all individuals over 50, community workers, and volunteers from third sector organisations delivering a service supporting Older Persons within the Falkirk District. We warmly encourage organisations supporting older adults to bring along members aged 50+ who may be interested in learning more about the network, meeting others, and finding out what is available locally.

The next meeting will take place on Thursday 3 December 2026, 10am – 12pm, at 1st Falkirk Scout Hall (Pleasance Gardens, Falkirk, FK1 1BG). Following the recent storms and severe weather experienced across Scotland, this meeting will include an interactive session on community resilience and preparedness, aimed at older adults (50+) and the third sector organisations supporting them. The session will explore practical steps people can take to stay safe, prepare for emergencies and support others in their communities. CVS Falkirk & District will also share information on its Winter Wellness Campaign, including advice and resources to help older people stay safe and well during the colder months.

The final session for 2026, we will close this meeting with time to reflect on Falkirk Older People’s Day 2026, discuss plans and priorities for the Network in 2027 and hear updates from members.
