FEL Scotland is offering Community Active Travel Accelerator Grants 2026-2027 to help communities across Falkirk District and Clackmannanshire identify barriers to active travel, and develop local solutions which encourage walking, wheeling and cycling for everyday journeys. Two funding options are available: First Steps Grants: £500 – £2,000 for groups exploring active travel challenges for the first time; Next Steps Grants: up to £3,000 for communities ready to test ideas and build on existing work. Applications are open to eligible community organisations based in Falkirk District, and Clackmannanshire and will be reviewed monthly until Friday 30 October 2026.

Climate Action Grants Programme Reopened and Extended
FEL Scotland has reopened and extended its 2026-27 Climate Action Grants programme, providing grants of up to £3,000 to support innovative projects focused on community-led climate adaptation. The fund is designed to help communities develop and test practical responses to the local impacts of climate change. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Friday 30 October 2026; the fund may close earlier depending on demand, and those interested in the fund are advised to apply as soon as possible.

Call for Evidence: National Lottery Good Cause Funding
The UK Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport has launched a call for evidence on the future of National Lottery good cause funding. This includes an online survey to gather people’s views on how the funding generated by the National Lottery can better align with modern priorities, reach the areas where it is needed most, and how to reduce bureaucracy around accessing the funding. The deadline for responses is 12pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
Ready to RISE Online Programme and Information Sessions
Ready to RISE is a free eight week online programme designed to support for women and non-binary people across Scotland to explore whether social enterprise could be a way to create meaningful work, earn a living, and make a positive impact. The programme aims to help participants build confidence, develop practical skills, grow their networks, and explore potential ideas, with eligible participants able to apply for up to £1,000 in grant funding to help progress their idea. Firstport is hosting Information Sessions to provide an overview of the Ready to RISE programme details; sessions will take place on Monday 21 September 2026 (online), Friday 2 October 2026 (in Dunfermline), and Thursday 22 October 2026 (in Edinburgh).

Henry Smith Foundation Holiday Grants Programme
The Henry Smith Foundation Holiday Grants Programme provides one‑off grants to schools, youth groups and not for profit organisations to help children younger than 13 years old take part in take part in recreational day trips or short residential breaks. The latest round opens for applications on Thursday 20 August 2026. The application deadline for trips taking place Thursday 1 October 2026 – Thursday 31 December 2026 is Thursday 19 November 2026.
Pathways to Work Innovation Fund Webinar
The UK Government’s Pathways to Work Innovation Fund is a call to action for the third, private, and public sectors to come forward with ambitious, creative ideas to help disabled people and those with health conditions get into, and continue to, work. The Fund will open for bids in September, with organisations across the UK invited to apply for funding to test new approaches to employment support. Ahead of the Fund’s opening, DWP in Scotland (alongside DWP Pathways to Work Policy Teams) is hosting an information webinar on Tuesday 25 August, 2pm – 2:45pm.
