FEL Scotland has reopened and extended its 2026-27 Climate Action Grants programme, providing grants of up to £3,000 to support innovative projects focused on community-led climate adaptation.

The fund is designed to help communities develop and test practical responses to the local impacts of climate change. Funding is available to community groups, community councils, community development trusts, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and similar not-for-profit organisations based within Falkirk District, Clackmannanshire, or Stirlingshire (including the part of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park located within the Stirling Council area).

Projects should focus on climate adaptation and resilience; examples include:

natural flood management measures
rainwater harvesting
climate-resilient food growing
community preparedness plans
local weather monitoring
flood warden programmes
tree planting for shade and cooling
projects which strengthen local ecosystems through native planting and biodiversity enhancement

Priority will be given to communities that have not previously received funding through the Climate Action Hub. In addition to funding, successful applicants can access support, networking opportunities and learning activities through the Hub.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until Friday 30 October 2026; the fund may close earlier depending on demand, and those interested in the fund are advised to apply as soon as possible. All funded activity must be completed by Wednesday 31 March 2027.
