The Forte Charitable Foundation’s Small Grants Programme offers financial support to UK-based charitable and not for profit organisations across the UK, which are working to address the challenges faced by local communities.
Grants range from £2,000 – £10,000, with an average award of £9,264. Funding is available for core and revenue costs, with the Foundation prioritising frontline organisations working directly with individuals in need. Organisations must have an annual income below £250,000, and meet a strict eligibility criteria; grants cover up to 50% of total project costs, and remaining funding must be secured before payment is made.

Projects must focus on community support and fall within key themes such as community support, youth, addiction, education, and family services.
Eligible applicants must operate in areas ranked within the bottom 50% (rural) or 15% (urban) of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD). Rural communities must have under 10,000 residents and face economic and geographic isolation, in remote, economically deprived areas with limited facilities and fundraising opportunities. Urban projects must be based in the same locality as the applying organisation.
Exclusions apply, including capital projects, campaigning, newly established organisations, and those outside the UK.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no fixed deadlines.
