Autistic Adult Support Fund
The Autistic Adult Support Fund is now open for applications. The Fund will provide £500,000 for the 6 month period from October 2023 to the end of March 2024, and aims to help adults with an autism diagnosis, self-identified autistic adults, and their families and carers understand what neurodivergence means for them and improve their wellbeing.
“Falkirk’s Relationships’ First” Film Screening
Falkirk Council is hosting a film screening of their new “Falkirk’s Relationships’ First” on Tuesday 29th August, 12pm – 2pm at the Bo’ness Hippodrome, 10 Hope Street, Bo’ness, EH51 0AA. The film features young people leaving care, who explain a range of barriers they encounter, which mean they find it difficult to maintain connections. The film then explores what these barriers may look like in Falkirk Council, and what they as an organisation can do differently.

Diabetes Scotland is hosting a free webinar, “Introduction to Diabetes Tech”, on Tuesday 29th August, 7:30pm – 8:30pm. During the webinar, experts will look at the different types of technology available, and how it can support with managing diabetes.
Dates-n-Mates STV Advert Live from Monday
Dates-n-Mates has announced that their TV advert with STV will be going live on Monday 28th August for 10 days across various time slots on live TV and the online STV player. They have been working with the STV creative team on this advert for a number of months; the advert features photos of their members events from each Dates-n-Mates branches, with voiceover from 2 of the team.
Awakening the Festival This Weekend
Awakening the Festival takes place this weekend on Sunday 27th August, 1pm – 9pm at Falkirk Stadium, 4 Stadium Way, Falkirk, FK2 9EE. The outdoor music festival is designed exclusively for people with disabilities, and will feature live bands and DJs, food and drink, market stalls, and other entertainment.
