Safer and Empowered Communities Forum: August Meeting
At the upcoming Safer and Empowered Communities Forum, which takes place on Wednesday 23rd August, 10am – 12pm via Zoom, we look forward to hearing about the Empowering Communities Programme and Fund, the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry: Let’s Be Heard: Sharing Scotland’s COVID Experience, and developing and implementing community-led solutions for safer communities (John from Tamfourhill Tenants and Residents Organisation/Community Hub).
Dementia Friendly Singing Sessions
The Freedom Of Mind Community Choir will be providing 2 free dementia friendly singing sessions, on Wednesday 6th September and Wednesday 20th December, 2:30pm – 4:30pm in Camelon Parish Church Hall, Falkirk. These sessions will include singing well-known songs, and are free to access, with refreshments provided halfway through the session.

Home-Start Falkirk Volunteers
Home-Start Falkirk is looking for Parent + Family Support volunteers, as well as Parent + Toddler Group Volunteers! Parent + Family Support Volunteers will be matched with a parent or family to provide support during home visits, while Parent + Toddler Group Volunteers will support Home-Start facilitators at groups in Bo’ness, Denny, Grangemouth or Falkirk.
Tamfourhill Clean Communities Volunteers
The Tamfourhill Tenants and Residents Organisation (TTRO) is looking for volunteers to help with a new project, aiming to support people who don’t have access to the recycling centre due to accessibility barriers (such as lack of access to a car). Volunteers are needed in 2 roles: Collection Volunteers and E-Cargo Bikers.
LNER Customer and Communities Investment Fund
The LNER Customer and Communities Investment Fund (CCIF) is open for applications. The CCIF aims to support charities, LNER customers, and the communities of their route, focusing on causes that are of key importance to LNER, which includes the fund’s core themes: mental health, education and employability skills, diversity and inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
