Booking for the ROOTS Foodbank and Community Events annual summer programme is now open, with dates throughout July and August in Bonnybridge, Denny and Banknock. The programme is completely free to attend (though spaces are limited and must be booked in advance), with lunch provided.

Care Visions Family Talks are free online and in-person events exploring a range of topics aimed at those who parent, care for, look after, or support children and young people. Events are hosted by Dr Linda De Caestecker, and are open to all.
Stenhousemuir Gymnastics Club Open Day
Stenhousemuir Gymnastics Club is holding their second Open Day of the year next Saturday 28 June 2025, 2pm – 4pm, at the Carron Gymnastics Centre, Carronlea Drive, Carron, FK2 8DN. There will be an opportunity for attendees to show off their gymnastic skills, along with a summer beach photo booth, summer-themed games, tombola and prizes, plus “Throw Sponges at Your Coach”! Tickets are £5 each, and available from coaches at any session, or can be bought on the day.
Meena Bazaar Fundraising Event
The Rainbow Muslim Women Group SCIO is hosting a Meena Bazaar Fundraising Event on Saturday 21 June 2025, 11am – 4pm in the Howgate Shopping Centre, High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1HG. There will be a range of activities, including face painting, henna art, kids’ arts and crafts, as well as clothes and food stalls.

The ‘National Lottery Community Fund – Supporting Change: Carers’ is designed to fund projects that make meaningful and lasting changes to the way services and support systems work so carers can stay healthy and thrive in their caring roles.
Falkirk Get Together with Canine Partners
Canine Partners is a local charity transforming lives by partnering disabled people with assistance dogs. On Tuesday 24 June 2025, 11am – 1pm, they are hosting a pawsome gathering of their partners, applicants and volunteers in Falkirk. Meeting at The Kelpies Visitor Centre, Helix Park, Falkirk, FK2 7ZT, all are welcome to come along and enjoy a walk and a blether.
International Year for Volunteers 2026 Global Survey
In December 2023, the UN General Assembly declared 2026 the International Year for Volunteers for Sustainable Development, or IVY 2026. A scoping group of international volunteer-involving organisations and partners has been set up in the lead up to IVY 2026 to prepare for this opportunity, with a global online survey. The survey will close to new responses on Wednesday 25 June 2025.

The Cross Party Group (CPG) for Volunteering held a Volunteers’ Week 2025 event in Scottish Parliament to celebrate the impact of volunteering.
