Friends of Inchyra Park is now preparing for its annual Halloween event, Pumpkins in the Park. Taking place on Sunday 26 October 2025, 2pm – 4pm at the Park itself, Inchyra Road, Grangemouth, FK3 9EQ, the event will feature stalls from local crafters, free inflatables, and live music, along with food vendors.

Falkirk Play & Chat Parent Support Group
PLUS Forth Valley’s Play & Chat is a parent support group for families of children with disabilities, where young children are welcome too. The group runs in Falkirk on the third Thursday of every month at Bailliefields Community Hub, Sunnyside Road, Brightons, FK2 0RN, 9:30am – 11am, with next group taking place on Thursday 16 October.

Vacancy: Dial-a-Journey Minibus Drivers
Dial-a-Journey is recruiting minibus drivers, including Casual Drivers and School Drivers. The Casual Driver position has varied hours, and provides cover for holidays and sickness; the School Driver position is part-time, covering morning and afternoon shifts during school term times. Drivers are currently paid a wage of £12.60 per hour. Applicants must have D1 (101) category on their licence, and successfully undertake a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.

Creative Lives Volunteering in the Arts Toolkit Micro-Grant Competition
Creative Lives is developing a new Volunteering in the Arts toolkit, with tips and ideas to help groups ensure volunteers feel welcomed, informed, supported and appreciated. As part of this, Creative Lives is keen to include innovative ideas and examples from creative groups on how they look after their volunteers, and is running a new micro-grant competition for submissions. Stories will be shared in the final online guide, with the winning entry receiving a £250 micro-grant. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 30 September 2025.
New Homelessness Prevention Fund
The Housing (Scotland) Bill proposes new “Ask and Act” duties, requiring public bodies to ask about housing situations early to prevent homelessness. To support this, Scottish Government has launched a £4 million Homelessness Prevention Pilot Fund. The closing date for applications is Friday 17 October 2025.
Sustrans Scotland ArtRoots Funding Programme
Sustrans Scotland is inviting applications for its “ArtRoots” funding programme, offering grants of up to £6,000 to support public art projects along Scotland’s traffic-free National Cycle Network. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 15 October 2025.
