Braveheart is holding their annual Big Fit Walk in Bonnybridge this year, on Thursday 22nd June. This walk is designed to encourage people of all ages to enjoy being outdoors, get on the move, and socialise along the way.

The Place to Pause and Breathe Open Days
Pause and Breathe CIC are holding 2 open days at their new premises, The Place to Pause and Breathe, on Friday 16th June, 12pm – 3pm, and Sunday 18th June, 11am – 3pm. Refreshments will be available at both events. Michael Matheson, MSP for Falkirk West and Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care, will be formally opening The Place at 1:30pm on Friday 16th June.

2023 Social Innovation Challenge
Firstport has opened Expressions of Interest for the 2023 Social Innovation Challenge. The challenge funds and supports innovators to kick-start solutions tackling some of the most pressing challenges. The 2023 theme is focused on issues connected with the rising cost of living. The deadline for applications is 12pm on Monday 31st July.
Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2023: Applications Open
Applications for the annual Social Enterprise Awards Scotland are now open. The awards celebrate the incredible work and impact of social enterprises across Scotland. Three new categories have been introduced for 2023, with 9 categories in total. The deadline for all nominations and applications is at 9am on Monday 3rd July.
The Growth Partnership Online Learning Session
We’re delighted to announce that Ian Marr from The Growth Partnership will join CVS Falkirk to deliver a short online learning session on “Social Impact Investment” on Monday 19th June, 3 – 4pm. Social Impact Investment is a way of financing services, where third party investors work with a third sector provider and a public sector body to create high quality, person-centred, sustainable, cost effective services.
NCS Regional Forum Events
Sign ups for Scottish Government’s National Care Service (NCS) Regional Forum events are now live. These events are part of the NCS development, and aim to help Scottish Government learn more about the unique nature of social care support in local areas across Scotland. The first session is the Forth Valley event, taking place on Tuesday 20th June at the Albert Halls in Stirling.
CrossReach Polmont Visitors’ Centre Open Day
The CrossReach Polmont Visitors’ Centre will be holding an Open Day on Thursday 15th June, 10am – 1pm at the centre in HMYOI Polmont, Redding Road, Brightons, FK2 0AB. The event offers people an opportunity to see the work being done with Scotland’s Prison Visitors’ Centres (many run by third sector organisations like CrossReach).
