We’re delighted to announce that Ian Marr from The Growth Partnership will join CVS Falkirk to deliver a short online learning session on “Social Impact Investment” on Monday 19th June, 3 – 4pm.
Social Impact Investment is a way of financing services, where third party investors work with a third sector provider and a public sector body to create high quality, person-centred, sustainable, cost effective services.
Scottish Government has indicated their interest in using this financing model in the context of the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund; however, Social Impact Investment has already been used elsewhere in Scotland, and is used widely elsewhere in the UK and globally.
The Growth Partnership believes it is important to find new ways to finance delivering the support local communities need, as everyone faces increasing demand and decreasing budgets. Ian will speak about his organisation’s work to develop this model with Scottish Government and the wider public sector in Scotland.
The session is free to access, and open to all third sector groups and organisations interested in learning more about this funding model.
