Culture & Business Fund Scotland Reopening
The Culture & Business Fund Scotland (C&BS Fund) is reopening for applications on Wednesday 24th May 2023. The C&BS Fund provides match funding to culture organisations to enable partnerships and collaborations with businesses, by incentivising sponsorships to bring diverse creative projects to life. In 2023 the C&BS Fund will provide match funding of up to £14,000 per organisation.
Self Management Fund 2023: Deadline Approaching
The Self Management Fund closes for applications at 9am on Monday 22nd May 2023. Third sector and community organisations in Scotland can apply for 2 grant types to support disabled people, people living with long term conditions, and unpaid carers to self manage: a small grant of up to £15,000 for up to one year, or a large grant of up to £120,000 for up to 3 years.
Community Food Grants Closing Soon
NHS Forth Valley’s Public Health Nutrition Team has food activity grants available to local community groups and organisations to develop food and cooking activities across Forth Valley. The Community Food Grants has awards of up to £400 to fund opportunities for people to share or increase their food and budgeting skills. The deadline for applications is next Friday 19th May 2023.

Falkirk’s Third Sector Employability Forum: May Meeting
Falkirk’s Third Sector Employability Forum’s next meeting takes place on Wednesday 31st May, 10am – 12pm, online via Zoom. Attendees will look at the findings of the newly released Working Families Index Spotlight Report. There will also be discussion on the third sector approach to providing supportive employability.
MaPS Financial Wellbeing Guidance for Employers
The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has published their new financial wellbeing guidance for employers. “Financial Wellbeing in the Workplance – the Essential Guide for Employers” has been designed as a practical guide, and outlines 7 steps to help employers support the financial wellbeing of their team.
Dial-a-Journey’s Summer Excursions: Bookings Open
Bookings are now open for Dial a Journey’s Summer Excursions taking place throughout July and August, with upcoming trips including: Monday 3rd July: Largs; Wednesday 5th July: Loch Lomond Shores; Friday 7th July: Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh. Excursions are £15 per member (with first escort or carer travelling for £7.50, and second escorts at £15).
Gather Around Good Food Falkirk Event
Forth Valley Food Futures and Forth Environment Link (FEL) will host the “Gather Around Good Food” event on Wednesday 21st June, 10am – 3pm, at the Falkirk Campus of Forth Valley College. Places are free, but limited; booking is essential, and lunch is included. Participants will have the opportunity explore how Falkirk District can become a place known for equitable access to affordable, healthy food.
Jupiter Garden Open Day
TCV Scotland and the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre are holding a Garden Open Day on Friday 19th May, 11am – 3pm at the Centre, 3 Wood Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8LH. There will be a tour of the organic growing space, where the Growing Together Volunteers are involved in their Green Gyms. People can also find out how the garden benefits individual health and wellbeing.
