Easter 2026 Activities Across Falkirk District
As in previous years, we have gathered information on community Easter holiday activities across Falkirk District, where local groups and communities are doing everything they can to make sure everyone is able to enjoy the holiday (and the chocolate). This new page features information on fun things to do with the kids until schools return, including local activities, recipes, and much more! There are also details of a number of donation campaigns running across the district, and other ways to give.
Ready for Youth Work E-Learning Course
Youth Scotland’s e-learning course, Ready for Youth Work, is now open for applications until Thursday 30 April 2026. Participants have until Tuesday 30 June 2026 to complete the course; accreditation is available at SCQF Level 3. The course is open to those living in Scotland only.
Changes to PVG Scheme Now In Effect
Changes to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme have now come into effect. As of Wednesday 1 April 2026, the PVG scheme now involves a five year membership.
CARES Community Buildings Fund
Community organisations in Scotland can now apply to the CARES Community Buildings Fund, a funding opportunity designed to reduce energy costs and support the transition to low‑carbon, resilient community facilities. The deadline for applications is Saturday 31 October 2026.
