Multiple Sclerosis-UK (MS-UK) has announced free MS awareness training sessions for professionals and volunteers, with the next taking place on Friday 17 April 2026, 10:30am – 11:30am. The session will be delivered by a MS-UK team member, alongside a volunteer with lived experience of MS.

RNID Public Transport Accessibility Survey
The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) has launched the first ever research to focus on the experiences of people who are d/Deaf or have hearing loss when using public transport in the UK, via an online survey. The RNID Public Transport Accessibility Survey (funded by the Motability Foundation) has been developed alongside an advisory panel of people who are d/Deaf or have hearing loss, as an opportunity for people in these groups to share their experiences of using public transport. The deadline for responses is Monday 13 April 2026.
New Falkirk Foundation Autistic Girls Football Club
Falkirk Foundation has announced the launch of a new session designed specifically for autistic girls aged 10 – 14 years old, running each Wednesday 4pm – 5pm at Woodlands Community Sports, Comley Park Primary, Cow Wynd, Falkirk, FK1 1PZ.
“Ask the Expert with SAMH”: Mental Health Awareness Week Session
Money Advice Scotland’s next Ask the Expert session will be delivered in partnership with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), marking Mental Health Awareness Week 2026. Taking place online on Tuesday 12 May 2026, 2pm – 3pm, the session will explore the relationship between financial and mental wellbeing, highlighting how money worries can impact mental health, and sharing practical tips and support to help people feel more in control.
Power of Attorney Day: Local Drop-In Sessions
Carers Scotland and Standard Life have joined forces to launch the first ever UK-wide Power of Attorney Day, which will take place on Wednesday 22 April 2026. The initiative aims to raise awareness and understanding of Power of Attorney, and to encourage more people to put these in place. Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS) has been invited to take part; as a local member of SOPS, Caesar & Howie solicitors will be getting involved across its office network. There will be a series of drop-in sessions in Falkirk, Bo’ness and Alloa.
