The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is currently recruiting students for the academic year beginning September 2026, and is looking to organise Practice Learning Placements within the third sector for students studying for their degree in BA (Hons) Community Education.
This degree is aimed at those interested in working with young people, adults, and communities to promote learning for life, social change, and bringing about meaningful change. UWS is looking to hear from third sector groups and organisations who would like further information about taking on a student placement, and the ways it would benefit the student and the third sector.
Sharon Murdoch, Lecturer in Education at UWS, says:
“Our students are real assets to community organisations, they bring with them the theory behind the work we do in communities, new ideas, their time and professionalism.”
To arrange a discussion, or for further information, please contact Sharon by phone: 0141 848 3000, or email: sharon.murdoch@uws.ac.uk
