NHS Scotland has published their 2024 NHS Scotland Volunteer Experience Report. Now in its second year, the Volunteering Experiences survey was refined for 2024 with input from colleagues across 5 NHS boards.

Falkirk Volunteer Awards Ceremony Questionnaire
As some of you may remember, CVS Falkirk & District previously hosted an annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony. It has been a while since we have been able to hold this event, but we are currently trying to secure funding in the hopes of hosting this much-deserved celebration once again. For this to happen, we would be extremely grateful if you could spare two minutes of your time to help us establish the value of this event to funders by completing our short online questionnaire before Wednesday 19th February.
Money Advice Scotland Financial Wellbeing Sessions
Throughout February, Money Advice Scotland is offering a variety of free financial wellbeing sessions, including their Train the Trainer: An introduction to Financial Wellbeing, and a CyberScotland Week webinar on Tuesday 25 February, 10:30am – 11:30am.

Falkirk HSCP Central Locality Plan Available
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is developing locality plans for each of its 3 locality areas (Central, East, and West). The plans are being developed to support local development of services and implement the principles of the Scottish Government’s Localities Guidance. The Central Locality Plan was approved in January 2025 and is now available.
PIMH Third Sector Insights Survey 2025
Inspiring Scotland manage the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (PIMH) fund on behalf of the Scottish Government. Since 2022, they have produced an insights survey capturing data on the referrals and funding landscape for PIMH third sector services. This year, they want to reach more individuals and organisations with their online survey, to form a national picture on the current landscape for PIMH third sector services across Scotland.
SFAD Family Support Group
Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD) Family Support Service provide information, signposting and support to anyone in Forth Valley over 16 years old who is affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. Their Family Support Group will take place over the next two weeks: Tuesday 18 February, 4.30pm – 6.30pm: Ben Cleuch Centre, Park Street, Tillicoultry; Thursday 27 February, 6pm – 8pm: Change Grow Live, Goosecroft Road, Stirling.
VSCSF March 2025: Gaming and Gambling Harms Workshop
We are running our next Voluntary Sector Children’s Service Forum (VSCSF), 10am – 12pm on Monday 24 March via MS Teams. We are delighted to be collaborating with Ygam to provide fully funded training at the forum, focusing on gaming and gambling harms experienced by children and young people.
Strathcarron Hospice Snowdrop Appeal 2025
Strathcarron Hospice is encouraging everyone within the local community to join their Snowdrop Appeal this Spring. Snowdrop pin badges can be purchased for a donation in some supermarkets and locations across the area over the next few weeks. People can donate online to have a virtual flower to bloom in memory of a loved one on the Strathcarron website.
OPFS Grangemouth Family Hub Open
One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) has announced that their Grangemouth Family Hub, in partnership with Home-Start Falkirk, is now open, with ALL families welcome. The Hub is based in Beancross and Newlands Community Centre, Montgomery Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8QR. Tuesdays: Stay & Play 9:30am – 11am, Solihull Group 9:30am – 12pm; Wednesdays: Drop in, 9:30am – 12:30pm; Thursdays: Math & Mingle, 9:30am – 12:30pm.
