Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is developing locality plans for each of its 3 locality areas (Central, East, and West). The plans are being developed to support local development of services and implement the principles of the Scottish Government’s Localities Guidance. Plans are being developed through public and partner consultation.
The Partnership is required to develop Locality Plans for each locality within the Falkirk District area, covering:
- West: Denny, Bonnybridge, Larbert and Stenhousemuir
- Central: Falkirk town, Camelon (including Tamfourhill), Bainsford, Langlees, Hallglen
- East: Grangemouth, Bo’ness and Braes
The plans should demonstrate how the Outcomes & Priorities of the Falkirk HSCP Strategic Plan are implemented at a local level to ensure services respond to the priorities, needs and challenges of communities. Working by locality provides the opportunity for the Partnership to design integrated services, and realign resources to deliver the Falkirk HSCP Strategic Plan. This includes working alongside other partners and their plans, such as the Community Planning Partnership’s Falkirk Plan, and Community Action Plans (CAPs).
The Central Locality Plan was approved in January 2025 and is now available; the next step is to progress with developing East and West locality plans.
