With just under 4 weeks to go until Falkirk Funders Fayre 2025, we’re counting down by looking at some of this year’s features – including our subsequent online webinars, taking place the following week!
We’re delighted to be bringing funders from across the UK to our Falkirk District audiences, especially as many of these organisations would not be able to attend the in-person event. The lunchtime webinars will take place online over Zoom, and people can choose to attend one, more, or all of them.
The CIOF is the membership body for UK fundraising, representing and championing the work of individual fundraisers, charities, and their partners. In Scotland, their staff and volunteer committee members work to support, train and connect fundraisers across the country and to help shape the future of fundraising.
With the number of unprecedented challenges facing the third sector (including rising costs and the demand for grant funding), the ability to diversify their income will be an essential tool for local groups and organisations. We would strongly encourage people who are looking to vary and strengthen their group’s revenue.
360Giving’s mission is to help UK funders publish their grants data in an open, standardised way, and support people to understand and use this data to improve charitable giving. They support funders to publish their data using the 360Giving Data Standard, and also help people to access and use the data. They have created tools to make it easy to explore, download and visualise this data – and because the data is standardised, it can be looked at and analysed all together, helping us to see and understand grantmaking across the UK.
Groups who can use quantitative, statistical data and its impact effectively in their funding applications have a definite advantage in a difficult funding landscape, and we are delighted to be welcoming Ruth to our screens.
The Clothworkers’ Foundation aims to improve the lives of people and communities – particularly those facing disadvantage and marginalisation – through grant making. They award more than £7 million annually in capital grants to charities registered in the UK or not for profit organisations working across the 10 areas of priority defined in their Large and Small Grants programme.
With capital grants becoming increasingly difficult to find, we hope our local sector will take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear directly from their Grants Manager.
