NHS Scotland has published their 2024 NHS Scotland Volunteer Experience Report.

Now in its second year, the Volunteering Experiences survey was refined for 2024 with input from colleagues across 5 NHS boards. Using recommendations from the 2023 survey, the questionnaire was adapted to gather data on volunteer roles, and included questions relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

The dataset was analysed against the 6 Volunteering for All: National Outcomes Framework principles, which formed the basis of the survey questions in Section 1. It is intended that, over time, this approach will help evidence the impact of volunteering, to identify improvements and to celebrate good practice.
