The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) has announced they will be upgrading OSCR Online, the system registered charities in Scotland use to submit their annual return to OSCR. Before the upgrade happens, there will be a period of maintenance from TODAY, Friday 15th July until Sunday 24th July where the system will be unavailable. The upgraded version of OSCR Online will be live from Monday 25th July. The questions asked will not change after the upgrade.

Public Participation in Scottish Parliament Survey
The Scottish Parliament is designed to represent everyone in Scotland; however, they are aware that some people are currently more likely to become involved in their work than others. They are looking to speak to people from across Scotland, in order to understand how to make it easier for people to work with them, and have launched an online, multiple choice survey to gather people’s thoughts, ideas and suggestions.
Adult Disability Payment Online Events
The Adult Disability Payment will replace Personal Independence Payment (PIP) in Scotland in every local authority from Monday 29th August. Social Security Scotland has made changes to the decision-making process and the ways they gather information to support a client’s application. They are sharing information on these changes at free online events for stakeholders who support adults with a long term health condition, disability or terminal illness, with the next event taking place on Tuesday 19th July, 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

Strathcarron Hospice 10k Road Race 2022
Strathcarron Hospice has announced the return of its 10k Road Race for 2022, taking place on Sunday 2nd October, 11am – 1pm, at Denny High School, Herbertshire Park, Denny, FK6 6EE. The event is open to all runners aged over 15 years old, and is suitable for everyone.
Bark in the Park Sponsored Dog Walk
The Scottish SPCA is holding their in-person, sponsored “Bark in the Park” 5km dog walk on Sunday 28th August from 10:30am, taking place at Callendar Park in Falkirk. Participants will also be able to browse some pet friendly stalls on the day. The registration fee is £13 per adult and £6.50 per child, with a suggested £60 sponsorship target.
Falkirk Charities Day 2022
Falkirk Rotary Club, in partnership with Falkirk Delivers, will hold the annual Charities Day on Saturday 13th August, 10am – 4pm. They are looking for registered charities to book a stall and on the day provide information about their services, hold fundraising activities and sell their charity’s products.
