In response to the cost of living crisis, the Asda Foundation has launched the Foodbank Fundamentals Fund, with a total of £400,000 to support not for profit organisations which provide food and essential supplies to the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. Applications will be open 10am on Tuesday 15 July – 10am on Tuesday 29 July 2025, but may close early if demand is high.

CLOSING SOON: Funding for Projects to Improve Local Communities
Grants are available for small charitable organisations working to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged people, with an application deadline of next Tuesday 15 July 2025.
LNER Customer and Community Investment Fund
The LNER Customer and Community Investment Fund (CCIF) for 2025 is now open for applications. In a change to previous rounds, the maximum amount that can be applied for is £10,000. The fund is open to those based within 15 miles of the LNER route. This includes the entirety of Falkirk District, with Blackness being 14.1 miles from Falkirk Grahamston station. The deadline for applications is 11:59pm on Monday 25 August 2025.
B&Q Foundation Grants to Improve Homes and Community Spaces
The B&Q Foundation has grants of up to £10,000 available to UK registered charities for projects which improve homes and community spaces for those most in need. The deadline for applications is 9:30 am on Friday 1 August 2025.
Marine Fund Scotland for Coastal Communities
Funding is available to support marine organisations in Scottish coastal communities, including the Grangemouth area. The funding will support a wide range of eligible individuals, businesses, organisations and communities to deliver projects which aim to create a sustainable marine economy, reduce carbon emissions and support coastal communities. The closing date for applications is 11:59pm on Tuesday 22nd July 2025.
Henry Smith Foundation Holiday Grants for Disabled and Disadvantaged Children
Grants ranging from £500 to £2,750 per trip are available from the Henry Smith Charity (now the Henry Smith Foundation) to support recreational trips or holidays within the UK for groups of disadvantaged or disabled children 13 years old or younger. Applications for trips taking place until Sunday 31 August 2025 can be made until Monday 21 July 2025.
Woodward Charitable Trust Grants
The Woodward Charitable Trust provides grants of up to £10,000 per year, to organisations supporting disadvantaged families with young children up to 11 years old, and organisations which work directly with children of the same age group. The next application deadline is 12pm on Thursday 31 July 2025.
2025 Healthy Heart Grant Scotland
Heart Research UK has announced the launch of its 2025 Healthy Heart Grant for Scotland, offering up to £15,000 per project to support innovative, community-led projects that promote heart health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 9 July 2025.
CashBack for Communities: Applications Open
Applications are now open for the next phase of CashBack for Communities funding, which will provide up to £26 million from April 2026 to end of March 2029. Organisations can apply for grants of £150,000 – £1,500,000. The deadline for applications at 12pm on Thursday 7 August 2025.
