The Thomas Wall Trust is offering grants of up to £5,000 to registered UK charities supporting disadvantaged adults (aged 18 years old and over) in developing communication skills which enhance employment prospects. Firstport Community Enterprise Fund
The Community Enterprise Fund offers grants of up to £5000, to be spent over six months, to help community organisations to start trading or set up social enterprises in Scotland. An open, rolling programme, to apply for the Community Enterprise Fund, you must first be registered within the Firstport Application Portal.
Alpkit Foundation Grants of up to £500 for Outdoor Activity Projects (UK)
Grants of up to £500 are available for individuals, community groups, schools, and other not-for-profit organisations to encourage people across the UK to get involved with outdoor activities and experiences. The funding is provided by the Alpkit Foundation, which aims to break down barriers to outdoor participation.
LNER Customer & Community Investment Fund 2025
LNER’s Customer & Community Investment Fund (the CCIF Fund) works to support charities and causes along their route. It provides vital funding to small and medium sized projects that deliver a positive impact. Now open for 2025 applications, groups can apply for up to £10,000 – with preference given to small and medium charities. Projects must be finished within a 12-month funding period starting in April 2026. Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Monday 25 August 2025.
New Governance Wiki Empowers Scotland’s Charities
A new digital platform, the Governance Wiki, has been launched to support Scotland’s voluntary sector in navigating governance challenges. Aiming to demystify governance and make it more accessible, the Wiki offers clear, up-to-date guidance on a wide range of topics including legal obligations, board responsibilities, compliance, and risk management.
The ASFT Fund – Foundation Scotland
The ASFT Fund has been established to support organisations across Scotland, awarding grants of up to £15,000 for one year. To be eligible for this fund, your project must meet at least one of the fund priorities: educational and learning projects, creative and performance arts, responding to the effects of poor physical and mental health, and poverty, older people, and increasing participation in sport.
Grants for Sustainable Climate Change Projects from JRCT
Funding is available through the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust’s (JRCT) Sustainable Futures programme to address climate change and its effects. To apply, interested groups must register with the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT), with registration completed by Monday 18 August 2025, and applications submitted by 12pm on Monday 1 September 2025.
Henry Smith Foundation New 5 Year Strategy
The Henry Smith Charity, now known as the Henry Smith Foundation, has launched its new 5 year strategy, offering flexible, long-term funding to support not for profit organisations dedicated to making social change across the UK. “Elevate Your Impact (2025-2030)” will focus on 3 core priority areas: Getting Started, Building Independence, and Safer Futures.
The Pixel Fund
The Pixel Fund’s focus is the mental health and wellbeing of children and young adults under 26 years old. They aim to support improvement in mental health by providing grants to charities registered and operating solely in the UK, and who are involved in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young adults. The application process usually takes around 4 – 6 months from start to finish. Applicants must attend an informal Q&A meeting before applying. These meetings take place online via GoogleMeets; the next takes place Wednesday 16 July 2025 at 1pm.
