Safer and Empowered Communities Forum: June 2026 Meeting
June 3 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeCVS Falkirk & District is delighted to invite partners and community organisations to the next Safer and Empowered Communities Forum, online via MS Teams on Wednesday 3 June 2026, 10am – 12pm.
The forum will include a presentation from Gemma Ritchie, Adult Support and Protection (ASP) Lead Officer with Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership, who will lead a discussion focused on hoarding and self-neglect. The session will explore how communities, third sector organisations and partners can better recognise and respond to signs of harm affecting adults, while helping to raise awareness and encourage informed conversations around Adult Support and Protection within community settings.
The discussion also reflects growing interest in these themes across the sector and links with wider ASP engagement activity.
The forum will also hear from colleagues at Cyrenians Falkirk, who will share insight into the “Ask and Act” Homelessness Prevention Project. Speakers include Lynda Ross-Hale, Senior Manager for Justice & Inclusion, and Carl Storah, Outreach Service Manager, who will share insight into the project and its approach to early homelessness prevention.
In addition, the meeting will provide an opportunity for members to share updates, connect with partners and discuss current community issues and priorities.
