Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE), CVS Falkirk and Clackmannanshire TSI (CTSI) are delighted to announce that we will be holding our third annual Forth Valley Third Sector Conference on Tuesday 12th May at the brand new Barracks Conference Centre in Stirling, and booking is now open! Our theme this year is “Investing in Your Place: People, Place, Participation”, and keynote speakers will be Aileen Campbell, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government, and Kenneth Ferguson, Director of the Robertson Trust. Early bird tickets of £15 are available until the end of February.

We’ve now less than 5 WEEKS to go until this year’s Falkirk Funders Fayre, and we’ve been busy little bees! This week, we launched the event poster, and confirmed a few more exciting exhibitors. Speaking of bees, this week’s spotlight features on CharityBee, who offer the third sector bespoke support services and sector-specific advice, and Crowdfund Scotland, who you might remember have just announced their local workshops with Kelvin Valley and Falkirk LEADER. FREE Participation Requests Workshop
In partnership with CVS Falkirk, the Scottish Centre for Community Development (SCDC) is holding a FREE participation requests workshop on Thursday 12th March, 1pm – 4pm at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Redbrae Road, Camelon, FK1 4DD. The workshop is aimed at local community groups (particularly those working with people experiencing poverty and inequalities) who want to find out how to use participation requests to start discussions with decision-makers about improving public services.

Community Justice Discussion at Safer Communities Forum
The Community Justice Partnership seeks to support and manage people who have committed offences from the point of arrest, through prosecution, custody or community disposal and alternatives, until they are reintegrated. With the current Outcomes Improvement Plan due for revision before Tuesday 31st March, third sector groups and organisations are invited to take part in discussion during the next Safer Communities Forum meeting on Wednesday 15th January.
