Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre runs monthly Dementia Information Sessions for carers, with upcoming dates including “Sensory Issues and Dementia” on Tuesday 25th May, and “Dementia and Sleep” on Tuesday 29th June with NHS Forth Valley Occupational Therapy. All sessions are 10:30am – 12:30pm, via Zoom. All carers are welcome, and sessions are free.

Volunteering and the Third Sector Response to COVID-19 Survey
Scottish Government’s survey on Volunteering and the Third Sector Response to COVID-19 is now live. There are 2 questionnaires: one targeted at third sector interfaces (TSIs), Local Authorities and intermediary organisations; the other aimed at organisations working directly with volunteers (volunteer-involving organisations, or VIOs). The survey will help Scottish Government better understand the impact of COVID-19 on the third sector and volunteering during the pandemic and to inform the recovery process. The deadline for all responses is 11:59pm on Sunday 23rd May.
Volunteers’ Week Update: New Awards Sponsor Confirmed!

Camerados Open House
Camerados are hosting an online Open House on Thursday 6th May, 2:30pm – 4:30pm, via Zoom. The Open House will take the form of an informal Q&A session, and provides people with the opportunity to ask questions of the Association of Camerados, meet the newly formed Council and find out plans for the coming year.
Interactive Learning Bites Training Sessions
Volunteer Scotland is hosting online interactive Learning Bites training sessions, covering topics from their face to face training courses. The sessions are scheduled regularly throughout 2021, and into 2022. All sessions will last 2 hours, and will be delivered online via Zoom. Volunteer Scotland has introduced a charge to attend the Learning Bites sessions for some organisations, dependent on their annual income. Organisations with an income of less than £100,000 are still able to attend for free.
