Economic Resilience and Employment Forum: May Meeting
The third sector Economic Resilience and Employment Forum brings third sector organisations together to share experience and knowledge around the theme of employability. The next online meeting takes place on Wednesday 12th May, 10am – 12pm.
Priority Services Register Scotland: New Website
The Priority Services Register (PSR) is a free UK wide service that allows individuals or households to sign up to indicate that they require additional support during power cuts, or when there’s an interruption to their water supply. PSR Scotland have now launched a new website where people can learn more about the free help available in their individual area, and sign up online to join the PSR.
Braveheart and Cycling Without Age: Trishaw Walks
Braveheart and Cycling Without Age (CWA) are working in partnership to help people who would like to join Braveheart’s walking groups, but are unable to walk the route themselves, by providing the chance to join the group on a trishaw with support from CWA.
Connecting People Community Project
Strathcarron Hospice’s “Connecting People” project started during COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions. The project aims to link community members with similar interests together so they can offer and receive friendship, and a listening ear. There is no minimum time commitment required to get involved with the project, participants can make calls or write letters to each other at a time that suits both parties. People do not need to be associated with the hospice to get involved.
