The next Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) elections take place Tuesday 9th November – Sunday 21st November, and young people across Scotland are encouraged to get involved. Young people aged 14 – 25 years old can stand as candidates and become elected Members of the SYP (MSYP), helping create positive change in their communities. The deadline for expressions of interest in standing as a MSYP is Wednesday 30th June.

St John Scotland Patient Transport Service Volunteer Drivers
St John Scotland is looking for volunteer drivers from across Forth Valley to join their Patient Transport service, helping people get to and from their appointments at Forth Valley Royal Hospital (FVRH) in Larbert. The role requires a few hours per week transporting renal patients to and from the Renal Unit at FVRH. Volunteers should be aged 25 – 70 years old, with a valid driving licence, full insurance, and access to their own car. (Expenses can be claimed.)
CVS Falkirk Volunteering Support
We’re heartened to see many of our local third sector groups and organisations returning to their valued services and activities, and many local halls and community centres reopening to the public. CVS Falkirk can offer support with all aspects of your volunteering programme, including (but not limited to) helping with recruitment of new volunteers, and promoting your volunteer opportunities, or creating new volunteer opportunities.
Tesco Community Grants Open for Applications
Tesco Community Grants are now open for applications from across Scotland. The grants are open to registered charities and community organisations (specifically those focusing on supporting children and families), and projects that address food insecurity. Awards of £500, up to £1000 and up to £1500 are available; the amounts received will be decided by Tesco customers, who can vote for local projects instore every time they shop.
