Generations Working Together (GWT) is holding a “Men Across Generations” conversation event on Wednesday 5th May, 10am – 12pm via Zoom. The event aims to explore idea of connecting with men and intergenerational work in local communities, ways to pass skills and knowledge to younger people, and exploring possibilities.

Outside the Box Upcoming Training Sessions
Outside the Box is running training sessions for staff and volunteers on different aspects of inclusive practices and development, including “LGBTQ+ Family Inclusion Workshop” on Wednesday 5th May, and “Mum-Friendly Workplaces Workshop” on Wednesday 12th May.
NHS Forth Valley “Ask, Tell” Mental Health Workshops
NHS Forth Valley has confirmed dates for their next Ask Tell mental health workshops, with the next series (Series 6) beginning on Wednesday 5th May, 10am – 11am via Microsoft Teams. The workshops cover mental wellbeing, suicide prevention and having compassionate conversations with people who are experiencing mental distress or may be feeling suicidal.
CISWO The Coal Mining Charity
CISWO, The Coal Mining Charity, aims to improve the lives of former miners and their families. They operate across the UK in areas affected by the coal industry, with an office in Lanark providing support to Scottish families. Services include assistance with welfare benefits and compensation schemes, access to holidays and convalescence, amongst others.
Alzheimer Scotland Action on Rights Team
Alzheimer Scotland has launched a new Action on Rights Team which can support carers, friends and family with loved ones in care homes. Those in care homes do not need to have Alzheimer’s or dementia for their loved ones to access this support, which is funded by Scottish Government. The Action on Rights Team is available Monday – Friday via the 24 hour Freephone Dementia Helpline: 0808 808 3000, or by email: actiononrights@alzscot.org
