The next meeting of the COVID-19 Third Sector Response Forum will take place on Wednesday 28th April, 3pm – 5pm, via Zoom. Please note that this particular meeting is for third sector groups and organisations only. This includes charities, social enterprises, and community and voluntary groups. While we appreciate and value the input from our public sector and private partners during these forum meetings, this particular meeting is designed to give space to third sector groups and organisations operating in Falkirk.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness: Free Course
In partnership with West College Scotland, Scotia Gas Network Ltd (SGN) provides free student e-learning, highlighting the dangers of Carbon Monoxide and how to protect yourself from it. The course is available to everyone.
Hepatitis B Free E-Learning Course and Resources
A new, free to access e-learning course on hepatitis B in Scotland and a “Living with hepatitis B” booklet have been launched by Hepatitis Scotland. The e-learning course has been developed to increase participants’ understanding and awareness of the illness, defining hepatitis B and describes those who may be at risk of infection. It aims to help participants identify the symptoms of acute and chronic hepatitis B, and who should get tested. The new booklet is designed to assist those who have been diagnosed with hepatitis B and can be used in a variety of settings.
FREE University of Stirling Online Courses
The University of Stirling is offering hundreds of free places to anyone living in Scotland on a wide range of short courses designed to help boost their career. The courses are entirely online and are funded by the Scottish Funding Council, and are designed to provide participants with specialist knowledge from leading academics to make their CV stand out.
VHS Vaccine Inclusion Report Launched
Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) has launched its report on their vaccine inclusion research: “Vaccine Inclusion – Reducing Inequalities One Vaccine at a Time”. The report seeks to explore the key barriers and enablers to accessing the COVID-19 vaccine and how the vaccine delivery model can be improved to reduce inequalities and provide holistic support to those who need it most.
