CISWO, The Coal Mining Charity, aims to improve the lives of former miners and their families.
They operate across the UK in areas affected by the coal industry, with an office in Lanark providing support to Scottish families.
Services include assistance with welfare benefits and compensation schemes, access to holidays and convalescence, emotional support (including loss and bereavement, illness and caring responsibilities), and financial assistance through grants (including educational grants).
