Make Your Mark, a campaign to increase the number and diversity of heritage volunteers, administers a free volunteer advertising portal for heritage organisations seeking volunteers in Scotland. The team have organised an online workshop on the portal, taking place on Tuesday 23 September 2025, 1pm – 3pm, via Zoom.

Charities, schools, and community organisations operating within a 15 mile radius of a Moto Motorway Services site (such as the Stirling services site) can apply for funding for projects and activities that benefit local communities across the UK.
Co-operative Bank’s Customer Donation Fund
The Co-operative Bank’s Customer Donation Fund offers financial support to UK-based community groups, charities, and social enterprises aligned with cooperative values. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to organisations with a Charity and Community Bank Account, aiming to enhance local wellbeing, sustainability, and social inclusion. Applications for the next round close on Tuesday 30 September 2025.
Help the Homeless Grants
Small homeless charities can apply for grants of up to £5,000 for projects which aim to help homeless people rebuild their lives, via Help the Homeless. The next closing date for applications is Monday 15 September 2025.

A group of leading national organisations has launched a new online consultation exploring the funding and current partnership relationships between public health, and the community and third sector in Scotland. The survey should take approximately 5 – 10 minutes to complete.

Voluntary Health Scotland Annual Conference 2025: Booking Open
Booking is now open for Voluntary Health Scotland’s (VHS) Annual Conference. The conference takes place on Tuesday 28 October 2025, 9am – 4pm at the Radisson Blu Hotel, 301 Argyle Street, Glasgow G2 8DL. This year’s theme is “Collaboration for Change”; tickets are £65 for members, and £104.30 for non-members and public sector attendees.
Make a Will Month Campaign with Strathcarron Hospice
Strathcarron Hospice has launched its annual Make a Will Month campaign. As part of Make a Will Month this October 2025, the hospice has teamed up with local solicitors and estate planners, who have kindly agreed to waive their fees throughout the month and instead write or update people’s Wills, in return for a donation to Strathcarron Hospice. The suggested donation is £120 for a basic single will, or £200 for mirror wills.
