Grangemouth Spatial Vision and Town Centre Masterplan
Falkirk Council has prepared a draft Spatial Vision for the future of the whole of Grangemouth, and a Masterplan for the town centre. To support people in submitting their views, Falkirk Council is holding 2 drop-in events, where people will have the opportunity to view the combined Vision and Masterplan, and chat with town planning specialists and council officers. Everyone is welcome at the events: Tuesday 26 August 2025, 3pm – 8pm at Kersiebank Community Education Centre, and Thursday 28 August 2025, 3pm – 7pm at Grangemouth Library.

The agenda includes a presentation from Tajtana Sandon of the Fairer Falkirk Team at Falkirk Council on a new community transport project, and Jennifer Goldie, Senior Housing Needs Prevention Officer at Falkirk Council, will speak on housing needs and homelessness prevention, highlighting current policies and available support.

Round the Houses Race and Fun Day 2025
This year’s Round the Houses Race and Fun Day in Grangemouth will take place on Sunday 31 August 2025, beginning from 12:30pm at Grangemouth Stadium, Kersiebank Avenue, Grangemouth, FK3 0BS. The event will feature a fast, 10k flat race route around the stadium, plus a 2k fun run for all ages and family fun zone at the stadium. Former Falkirk FC player Kevin McAllister will open the event, and childcare from Polmont Playgroup is available for runners, with drop-off between 12pm – 12:30pm and pick-up after your race, at a cost of £10 per child.
Stirling Photography Festival: Jennifer Charlton Exhibition
Stirling Photography Festival organisers have announced that they will be exhibiting the work of award winning photographer Jennifer Charlton at The Barracks Conference Centre, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ, until Friday 26 September 2025. Alongside the exhibition, Jennifer will hold free lunchtime talks about her project and her own journey, “Light Through the Shadows: A Life in Focus”, taking place on Friday 29 August 2025 12:30pm – 2pm, and Friday 26 September 2025 from 12pm – 1:30pm.
