Voluntary Sector Children’s Services Forum: September 2025 Meeting
CVS Falkirk & District will host its next Voluntary Sector Children’s Services Forum (VSCSF) on Wednesday 17 September 2025, 10am – 12pm, via MS Teams. In addition to the regular space for member updates and discussion, attendees will hear from Kathy Grant, GIRFEC lead and Partnership Co Ordinator at Falkirk Council.
Health and Wellbeing Forum: September 2025 Meeting
The next Health and Wellbeing Forum will take place on Wednesday 10 September 2025, 10am – 12pm, via MS Teams. During this meeting, we will welcome Stacey McIntosh (Strategic Prevention Coordinator – Suicide & Substance Use Deaths at NHS Forth Valley) to discuss the Draft Forth Valley Suicide Prevention Action Plan.
Y2Bee Peer Mentor Training for Young People
The Y2Bee Peer Mentor training, delivered by Youth Scotland, aims to support young people (aged 14 – 18 years old) in their community as peer mentors, and increase young people’s emotional resilience through improving young people’s understanding of how to manage their own mental health. The training takes place on Saturday 27 September, 10am – 5pm, at Forth Valley sensory Centre, Redbrae Road, Camelon, FK1 4DD.
Living Wage Foundation New Rates Webinar
The Living Wage Foundation has confirmed that the new Living Wage rates for 2025-2026 will be announced this year on Wednesday 22 October 2025. Accredited Living Wage Employers will get an email that morning announcing the new Living Wage rates. The Foundation will also be holding a webinar on Thursday 25 September 2025, 1pm – 2pm, for those keen to get a sense of the likely trajectory of the rates before the official announcement, in order to plan ahead.
Scottish Gas Slamannan Community Roadshow Events
Scottish Gas is hosting Community Roadshows in Slamannan to provide information and resources to help community members reduce their carbon footprint and lower their energy bills. The events are open to everyone, whether they are a Scottish Gas customer or not, and will take place at Slamannan Bowling Club, Station Road, Slamannan, FK1 3BQ, on Saturday 13 September 2025, 10am – 4pm, and Sunday 14 September 2025, 12pm – 4pm.
Law Without Labels Initiative Launch Event
The Queer Breakfast Club and Grangemouth’s Rainbow Rights have launched a new initiative: Law Without Labels, a free legal clinic designed to support LGBTIQ+ individuals in Falkirk and Grangemouth. The initiative launch event will take place next Tuesday 9 September, 6:30pm – 7:30pm in the Inchyra Room of the Grangemouth Community Education Unit, 69 – 71 Abbots Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8JE.

Canine Partners is holding an event in Edinburgh as an opportunity for potential volunteers, supporters and organisations to learn about what they do, find out more and see their brand-new virtual demonstration of how they train their dogs.
