Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has launched the CAF Coronavirus Emergency Fund. The fund aims to help smaller charitable organisations in the UK affected by the impact of COVID-19. Grants of up to £10,000 are available. This is intended as a rapid response fund, and CAF aims to make payments within 14 days of application. As they anticipate high numbers of applicants, it is unlikely that all eligible applicants will be awarded grants.

Youth Scotland Action Fund
Youth Scotland has announced the Youth Scotland Action Fund, a micro grant fund which supports community-based youth work affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The maximum amount available per application is £500, and the fund can be used for a range of equipment, opportunities and programmes to engage young people during the epidemic. The fund is prioritised for Youth Scotland member groups who meet the funding criteria, but non-member groups from non-uniformed organisations who meet the criteria are welcome to apply.
Third Sector Resilience Fund: Applications Open
Applications are now open for the Third Sector Resilience Fund (TSRF). The TSRF will support organisations across the third sector who are at risk of closure due to a sharp decrease in income, or who are unable to deliver their services directly as a result of the pandemic, offering charities, social enterprises, and community or voluntary groups grants of £5,000 – £100,000.

Skills for Health Free COVID-19 Awareness Course
Skills for Health has developed a free online resource for key workers (including volunteers, who are classed as category 2 or 3) to learn about COVID-19 symptoms, infection prevention, investigation and guidance to support them in their role. The course includes Statutory/Mandatory e-learning training, aligned to the UK’s Core Skills Training Framework, including Infection Prevention and Control.

Change Grow Live (CGL) Forth Valley has compiled a short list of useful information documents for during the current COVID-19 pandemic, including: Support Services in Forth Valley, information on the benefits available under Universal Credit during the pandemic, and a list of NHS and partner helpline services.
Skills Development Scotland Services During COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is continuing to provide career information, advice and guidance. SDS Careers Advisers are also continuing to offer support to individuals via phone, Skype or online.
FREE Power of Attorney Advice and Support
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS) are offering free advice on Power of Attorney, to support older individuals who may face challenges around illness, care, or long-term social isolation. Powers of Attorney can be used to deal with all legal and financial matters; the person appointing the Attorney need not have lost legal capacity to make decisions, and just is unable to deal with these matters for a period.
Home Energy Scotland: COVID-19 Support
Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial energy advice service from Scottish Government. They are keen to help householders whose home heating and energy use will be affected by staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Advisers are available to help with any questions people may have around staying warm and saving energy whilst self-isolating.
Go! Youth Trust Online Support During COVID-19
Go! Youth Trust have developed an online timetable to continue to mentor and befriend young people who struggle with anxiety, via Zoom conferencing and Instagram. They have also organised various online drop-in services for people to stay connected whilst isolating during COVID-19, including “Jog ‘n’ Blog”, Games Drop-In and a Netflix Party. Additionally, they are also collecting old smart phones, devices and data SIM cards for young people who don’t have a way of accessing the internet.
