Trading Standards Scotland and Police Scotland have launched a month-long, nationwide “Shut Out Scammers” campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness of doorstep crime, the mis-selling of energy efficiency measures, and other forms of financial harm people can be susceptible to.

KLSB Coronation Afternoon Tea Dance
The KLSB Community Group is holding a Coronation Afternoon Tea Dance for older people in the local community, on Saturday 6th May, 2:30pm – 5:30pm at the Rotary Hall, Main Street, Stenhousemuir, FK5 4BL. There will be live music, afternoon tea, and dancing for those who wish to join in. The event is completely free, but booking is required.

Free Community Wellbeing Sessions in Bonnybridge
Pause and Breathe CIC is holding their new Free Community Wellbeing Sessions. Currently, sessions are held in Bonnybridge Community Centre, Bridge Street, Bonnybridge, FK4 1AA. Reminder: Emergency Alert System Testing
A reminder that between 3pm – 3:30pm this Sunday 23rd April, the new Emergency Alert System mobile phone warning service will send a test message to mobile phones across the UK, including in Scotland, as part of a UK-wide test of the service.

BREAKING NEWS: Third Year of Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
CVS Falkirk & District is delighted to share that further investment from Scottish Government will enable a third year of funding from the Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund to be distributed to the third sector across Falkirk District, to support good mental health and wellbeing for those most impacted by the pandemic. The announcement was made by Michael Matheson, MSP and Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care, when he visited Bonnybridge-based social enterprise, Pause and Breathe CIC, on Friday 21st April.
Alzheimer Scotland Forget Me Not Appeal Volunteers
Alzheimer Scotland is teaming up with Morrisons supermarkets in a nationwide fundraising appeal, running Monday 15th May – Sunday 21st May. They are looking for volunteers to get involved, who will collect donations from the public in Morrisons’ 62 Scottish stores.

Disclosure Scotland is reminding enrolled groups and organisations of their “duty to refer” responsibilities. This is a legal duty to report harmful behaviour towards vulnerable individuals by staff and volunteers, to Disclosure Scotland.
