Fairer Falkirk Income Maximisation Survey
The Fairer Falkirk Team has launched their Income Maximisation Survey, in order to understand how much Falkirk District residents know about council services which can help boost their income. The deadline for responses is Monday 31st July.

SDF “Supporting Change: Amplifying Voices” Conference
The Scottish Drugs Forum’s (SDF) upcoming “Supporting Change: Amplifying Voices” conference takes place 9:30am – 4pm on Thursday 31st August 2023 at The Grand Ballroom, Grand Central Hotel, 99 Gordon Street, Glasgow G1 3SF. Tickets are £90 for SDF member, and £130 for non-members; however, there is a limited number of free places available. Those interested in applying for a free place should apply before Friday 4th August.
Cyrenians Summer Fete
Cyrenians in Falkirk is holding their Summer Fete on Saturday 5th August, 12pm – 3pm at the Walled Garden in Dollar Park, Camelon Road, Falkirk, FK1 5SQ. The event will feature live music and face painting, with hot dogs and a coffee and ice cream cart, plus activities.

Battle of Falkirk Day Events
Falkirk Delivers is holding the Battle of Falkirk Day in Falkirk town centre on Saturday 22nd July, 10am – 4pm. The free town centre event commemorates the 725th anniversary of the battle, with re-enactments, performances, and activities.
Elite Road Race Online Info Sessions
The Men Elite Road Race, Men Under 23 Road Race and Women Elite Road Race will pass through Scotland on Sunday 6th August, Saturday 12th August, and Sunday 13th August respectively, including areas of Forth Valley and Falkirk District. Two online information sessions will take place on Tuesday 18th July, and Wednesday 19th July (including the Falkirk District routes), including practical information about the races and local impacts along the route.
ETU July Opportunities Bulletin
Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit (ETU) has released their July Opportunities Bulletin, with a list of vacancies currently available in the Falkirk District area. The July bulletin also includes information on ETU support for parents, virtual courses, and ETU’s weekly virtual Employer Engagement Sessions.
Firstport’s Build It Fund: Next Deadline
The next deadline for Firstport’s Build It fund is 12pm on Thursday 28th September. Build It is aimed at social entrepreneurs who have tried and tested their social enterprise idea and want to turn it into their fulltime job. The fund can grant up to £25,000 towards salaries and some essential costs.
