November is Mouth Cancer Action Month, and NHS Forth Valley is working with various partners to create environments that support people to address the lifestyle and risk factors for mouth cancer, including support to stop smoking, alcohol interventions and initiatives to increase healthy eating.

Falkirk Accessible Shopping Day
Falkirk Delivers has organised the Falkirk Accessible Shopping Day, taking place on Saturday 2nd December, 11:30am – 3:30pm at the Howgate Shopping Centre in Falkirk. Dial-a-Journey is working with Falkirk Delivers to provide accessible transport for the day via their Shopmobility service, along with wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility aids.
Parenting Multiples Drop-in Support Group Launch
A new drop-in support group for parents of multiples launches on Thursday 16th November, 10am – 12pm, in Stenhousemuir. Organised by Forth Valley Pandas and Stenhousemuir FC’s Warriors in the Community, and funded by the Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, the free group is for parents, guardians and carers of twins, triplets or more, or those who have had two (or more!) children in quick succession who may need peer support or a moment’s rest.

Volunteer Scotland Cost of Living Crisis Survey for VIOs
Volunteer Scotland has launched a new survey on the cost of living crisis and its impact on volunteers and volunteer-involving groups and organisations (VIOs), designed to help Volunteer Scotland help support volunteers and VIOs, and identify the areas most impacted. The deadline for responses is Wednesday 15th November.
Spaces Available: Energy Efficiency Programme for Community Venues
HeatHack has spaces available on their funded Energy Efficiency Programme, which is free for community venues. The programme offers community venues a FREE programme to help improve Energy Efficiency and Thermal Comfort. This new programme of facilitated group sessions is designed for community building operators to use to understand what a net zero future holds for their own premises.

NHS Forth Valley Annual Review: Deadline for Public Questions
The deadline for submitting questions to the NHS Forth Valley Annual Review 2022/23 public session is 5pm on Friday 3rd November. The public session will take place on Monday 20th November, 1pm – 2pm; people can attend either online (via Teams), or at the in-person event in Stirling.
